Time?

Time, as demonstrated by the position of the sun.

Time is a brisk wind, for each hour it brings something new... but who can understand and measure its sharp breath, its mystery and its design?
~Paracelsus

Who forces time is pushed back by time; who yields to time finds time on his side.
~The Talmud

How long a minute is, depends on which side of the bathroom door you're on.
~Zall's Second Law

What are your thoughts on time?

Cool sun dial! And what's the pavilion in the bottom photo? With a bit of furniture, it could be a fun place to sit and relax for an afternoon.

I think how long a minute is depends on whether I'm on my lunch hour, or sitting at my desk working.

not thoughts "on" time
since thinking creates time,
& various kinds
of thinking
create shimmering
bounding pools of
times,moods,views,say,
through a folly's
frame, where
"folly" means
easy foolishness
sundial's shadow
rectifies

Sun dials are so interesting. We should use them more. I'd quite like one in the garden!

This sundial is in the Idaho Botanical Gardens, as part of the English garden. And they call this pavilion a folly. It's often used for receptions, food tables, etc. for events.
LOL, Katie, I agree. A minute is always shorter during lunch hour, especially if I'm having lunch with a friend!

I love your "thoughts" about time, Anon. One who is so good with words...

I agree, Lynn. I think sundials should be used more often. You should put one in your garden :)
