Poetry of water

When the heat is on, there’s nothing like sitting next to a cool stream.

And a weekend is a fine time to do it.

Poetry is that art which selects and arranges the symbols of thought in such a manner as to excite the imagination the most powerfully and delightfully.
~ William Cullen Bryant

Fantasia on lovely photo by beloved

Selecting & arranging
the water of thoughts
poetry escapes symbols by
splashing beyond schooldazed
categories & supremely embraces
(as in your photograph)
in-betweens -

watching watery thinking seep into the cracks between his rugged puritanism & Anglo literary
airs, William Cullen Bryan
tests the stream flow in your
photograph and decides living
again, or for the first
time, in the 21st century
beats being dry on dry land in the 19th because the flow reminds him his body
of words gets embodied in his body from
which all fresh streams
fountain

I hope it's not too hot there. Are you getting all the heat that Portland and Seattle have been getting? (Hard to imagine, as we've had 2 weeks of fog and clouds and cool temps.) Sitting like a cool stream sounds like a good way to beat the heat though.

It was over 100 today, hot wind blowing. So either inside or by cool water is the place to be. It's almost hard for me to imagine fog and clouds right now. Glad you are much cooler.

Anon, your poetry is breathtaking. Thank you, Love.
