Once, John gave me tulips for Valentine's Day or maybe my birthday. I hated to see them go so I planted the bulbs. They come up every year (even here, Karin!) but they don't last very long.
One of my favourite flowers too. So whimsical, the way they keep growing in the vase and moving towards the light. I hope you're having a beautiful weekend, Mary.

What a gorgeous pink. Tulips are one of my favorite flowers, but we can't grow them down here.
What a wonderful thing color is for the soul. Brightened this frigid Salinas morning.
Hoo, boy! Those are simply gorgeous, Ms.M.
Wishing you and N a wonderful, warm and romantic Valentine's Day.
xx
Hiker: I love tulips and they seem to do well here in the spring. The two in the first photo were such a delicate creamy pink.
John Evans: Welcome -- and I totally agree with you on how color revives the soul!
Dive: Thank you. We both thank you :-)

That's a lovely story, Petrea. So the tulips became "the gift that keeps on giving", at least for a bit each spring.

Thank you, Shell. I hope your weekend was a very good one!
