Cabin fevered dreams

I prefer winter and fall, when you feel the bone structure of the landscape - the loneliness of it, the dead feeling of winter.  Something waits beneath it, the whole story doesn't show.
~Andrew Wyeth

Let us love winter, for it is the spring of genius.

Hmmm, those quotes don't convince me, Ms M. ;) Clearly written by those with sterling circulation. I hope the cabin fever raises your temperatures.

I hope this means stir crazy rather than sick. I agree with Wyeth, I like the honesty of a winter landscape.

Shell and Hiker: I'm not a big fan of winter, especially when there's lots of snow and ice. These were taken during a record-breaking cold spell during which we also had deep snow and, to top it off, an ice storm. Driving and walking were treacherous. By using these quotes, I was attempting to take a "philosophical view" of things -- ha! Although I do especially like the Wyeth quote.

Fortunately now, the weather is back to normal temps and the snow is nearly gone.

Fun photos, Ms.M.
We still have the snow here, with lots more to come at the weekend. Much as I love Andrew Wyeth I'd prefer to read his quote on a nice sunny spring day, when the memory of winter landscape is tempered by not having to start your day by digging your car out onto the road in the teeth of a northerly gale.

Dive, your weather sounds especially unpleasant right now... brrrrr! I see your point about the Wyeth quote; it hits a little too close to home when you're digging out during a blizzard.

Well, I think you are philosophical and artistic.

Well, thank you, Margaret! :-)
