Feathered follow-up

Remember this post from April? Well, here are the geese families again. Look how much they've grown!

They fed voraciously in the grass. Snorking along like feathered vacuum cleaners.

Some of the goslings were lounging on the bank of the pond. The way their necks curve remind me of flamingos.

Speaking of necks; check out the "neck action" of the adults.

After a few final morsels, it was time to move on.

We had a pair of geese fly over our house last week. I think they were on vacation. They stayed a few days and then moved on. I thought they were lovely.

Maybe the geese that flew over your house came here to visit some of their "cousins". They are lovely when they fly. I especially like watching them skim down and land on the pond.

What fun to see a whole gaggle of geese like this! The goslings really are adorable. And I'm amazed at how green the grass and trees are. Lovely!

Thanks, Katie. It was a fun surprise to see the geese and goslings again. We've been blessed with a good spring with enough rain to nourish all the plant life. Gives them a head start on what's projected to be a hot summer.

Oh, they'll be ready for college soon.

You're right, Karin. Better start preparing those student loan apps....
