Buds are already appearing on tree branches and soon there will be a soft, pastel-like green to the trees as the first leaves open.When spring melt comes, the river becomes high and swift, and will submerge the rocky beaches along the shore.
For now, it's all waiting, waiting for spring.

Yes the soft greens will be stunning once the colors change, but this is a really lovely photo. I like that this could be almost winter or spring.
