Early in the morning

Morning commute

Urban moon

Lunar tricks

fog decays antiseptic white
facades revealing them as yellow
teeth of a dragon instead of

state buildings faceless & universal.
Within these dragon strip

mall squares one coughs deeply
on cue, then drivers drive
into a thick wall of pro

fuse red lights to
delay dream gratification. What an
evaporatingly

frail carbon copy of an Old
World capitol, where only a Spring thaw
permits nervous traffic lights to

transform ourselves so we live
smashing walls down for any
breathing room (never enough?)

Such a splendid poem, Anon! Thank you xxoo

Thank you, Karin and Sonia. Although I'm not an early morning person, I am heartened by the amazing photo opportunities dawn can bring.

Dive: Thank you from both N & me.
