Cloud reflections

Clouds can represent many things; animals, angels, faces, objects, shapes of countries. They give rain, snow, fog, reflection, create ever-changing sky art. They could be collections of millions of ideas, swirling there for one of us to grab. Gives new meaning to “reach for the sky.”

The poetry that sustains me is when I feel that, for a minute, the clouds have parted and I've seen ecstasy or something.
~ Rita Dove

Clouds symbolize the veils that shroud God.

Very cool photo! I like how my eye can so easily be fooled into thinking I'm looking up when I'm really looking down! And the leaves in the water look like they're flying through the air! The trees appear to be leaning over a little to look at their own reflections.

ravishing clouds in a lens of water
creating a head filled with clouds
Magritte painted,
& my family used to
tag me: "luftmensh" - translates from Yiddish into "man
with his head
in the clouds"
meaning a mild rebuff
in their world -
in ours -
in your artist's
capture: catching
in transit in-between radiance doubly rich ground
reflected

Katie, I liked how this photo turned out, too, the optical illusion of it. It conjures dreaming...

Anon, once again your verse is beautiful; you are not a luftmensch, but one who weaves poetry from clouds.
