Thanks, Petrea and Sonia. It was so delightful to come across this mom and her ducklings during our walk! The instincts of the mother duck are amazing. Even as they swam and fed in a casual way, she kept one eye on us, in case we were dangerous.
Thanks, Margaret. It was refreshing for us, too, as we'd just been through about a two-week period of temps over 100 degrees, and it finally cooled down to normal summer temps. Hope it has cooled down where you are -- and that you've gotten some rain!
