Surprise at the Nature Center

I was leaving the MK Center when a fawn suddenly popped out of the brush onto the main path. Very energetic (and cute), it bounced down the walkway.

Then, another fawn appeared. Twins!

Hmmm, shall I go down here?

The mother and one of the fawns spies the photographer.

Keeping an eye on this strange person who keeps following....

The mother and her fawns. The photographer is still being watched.

Okay kids, it's time to go...

One last long look....

fawn and its mother looking thru a long lens
at a soul of a woman photographing
them thru her own long
lens
startled all 3
startled
to have stumbled upon this
other life
un
imaginable
until framed
as a story about what?
about
journey
this life so deep in apparent
separateness, plot plods,
but then -
chance meeting when
focuser
becomes focused
upon sweet filling a stranger's long
held
sweet
spot

A "sweet spot" of poetry, Anon - thank you so much xxoo

Petrea: Yes, they were very spirited and cute! And very curious.

Karin: As per Monty Python: "Run away! Run away!" Actually I was further away from them than it looks. Since I didn't have a zoom lens with me, I did some "Photoshopping" on the photos to pull them into a larger focus.

Yes, I was very lucky! I was fascinated by the fawn that kept watching me; so much curiosity in its eyes. They were so cute prancing about!
