A bit of history, part I

"The Greatest Moments of a Girl's Life" (enlarge the photo for more details)

A few of the items we saw at the Bishops' House. More to come soon....

Clarification -- the items were part of a vintage and antique show, a fundraiser for the Bishops' House. Most of what we saw does not "live" there.

I'm fascinated by the photos. And read Wiki, but it's pretty spare. Tell us more.

I take it this is not the gift shop?

Karin & Petrea: After reading your comments, I realized I hadn't been clear that most of the items we saw were part of an antique show/sale fundraiser for the Bishops' House. They displayed things for sale throughout the house, so it was easy to forget that they were not part of the historic items belonging to the house.

Satan Sanderson. Now, there's a name begging to be used for a band. Looks like you had an interesting time there ~ I hope they raised a tidy amount. Have a beautiful week ! x0

Shell - you're absolutely right! Satan Sanderson would make a great name for a heavy metal band! Just imagine what they could do for stage clothes, hair, makeup...

We did enjoy looking around the house, and it sounds like they made enough for it to be worth their while.

You and Ella have a wonderful week!

I like so much the archtecture of The Bishops' House!
Love the dolls and the box of the Puppy Dog and Kitty Cat.

Sonia: I love the architecture of the house, too. It has a wonderful wrap-around porch, and a beautiful staircase. Some of the antique toys reminded me of those my mother had, which I saw stored in the attic of our house when I was a kid.
