The MK Nature Center recently stocked their waters with spawning salmon (that's why they are bright orange)

schools of fish? that much wiser than our learning gangs - in tune with instinct, bursting light, & swift currents, & when mouths gape only because real nourishment awaits, not settling for mere opinions, trusting ancient circulations, mysteries waves ceaselessly carry
Thank you, Anon. Your poem moves like a fish in currents. xxoo
Karin: They are attractive, aren't they? Then, of course, they are spawning. They have to look their most dazzling so they can get a date ;)
Petrea: Some types of salmon are endangered, like you said. These came from a hatchery, and they'll be safe from fishermen in the Nature Center waters.

Now you've gone and done it. They're too pretty to eat.
Anonymous, that's a good one. (They all are.)
I've been reading that salmon are having trouble avoiding becoming an endangered species, so maybe it's best not to eat them, Karin.

I'm glad. It's hard to keep it all straight.
Yes, it's twisty, just like a fish :-)
Much wiser indeed, Anon. How strange to see salmon doing goldfish impersonations, Ms.M.
So lovely. I always enjoy your photos.
Dive: the salmon are quite talented around here.
Thank you, Margaret!
So beautiful fishes!
Love so much the first photo and the quote too.
Have a lovely week.
Thank you, Sonia! I hope you have a wonderful week, too.
