Reflections on the week

As we struggle to make sense of things, life looks on in repose.

Act as if what you do makes a difference.  It does.
~William James

Hope is like a road in the country; there was never a road, but when many people walk on it, the road comes into existence.

All thoughtful and helpful quotes after weeks such as these, Ms M. I especially love the second. We can only control our own actions and make them as loving and wise as we are capable of. Hugs to you and Macie.

As ever, your choice of word and image calms and restores, especially after a week such as this.
Your photos are particularly fine this week; four stories waiting to be told.

Love these photos, so inspiring!
Great quotes too.

When I was young I loved to read Lin Yutang. I remember so well his book "Moment in Peking." Did you know that motivated by this book I had a chinese correspondent and we both change many letters and gifts? I also begun to learn Chinese language. But I gave up, it was very difficult. But in that time I could to speak and to write a little...
Have a lovely Sunday.

Thank you, Sonia, for your comments and for sharing your story! I've not read Lin Yutang. I will look up this book.

Margaret: Thanks! William James is a great source of good quotes.

Petrea: Thank you. And I agree about hope.

Wiliam James quote is very true: "Act as if what you do makes a difference. It does."
