In remembrance.

with exquisite flight we can never be inside of -

what only we can be inside of:
up

thrust
vision out of such

darkness,
horizon light

gathers forms
a line to heaven knows

Beautifully put, Anonymous.

`Ms.M, you are so lucky to live in eagle country. Those are fabulous photos and a fine remembrance ten years on.

They remind me of lines from another poem, Crow by Ted Hughes:
To hatch a crow
A black rainbow
Bent in emptiness
over emptiness
But flying.

Thank you, Anon; wonderful poem!

And, Dive, the Ted Hughes lines fit the situation beautifully. Thank you.

Eagles often nest in certain spots along the Boise River. But we don't see them soar like this very often. It was a real treat, as this one circled over us twice, allowing me to get some good shots.
