Enough sunshine lately to allow trees to make their marks wherever shadows fall.

"slattern" -- forgot what word meant but seems fence slats signed by shadow- tossed branches fit word. So disappointed to discover "slattern" = "untidy woman" -- but going back to earlier origins, "slattern" meant "to stop" likely in wonder at how these branches unlock fences .
Trees are so much better at shadow-puppetry than we are. This is gorgeous, Ms.M. I love the colour of the light. Honestly, with your photographs you could be the queen of impossible jigsaw puzzles.

Thank you, Anon, for your intriguing poem. To imagine shadow-branches unlocking fences, like in a fantasy world....
Thanks, Dive, and you're right. This photo would make an impossible jigsaw puzzle; how about 5,000 pieces? :-)
Eek!
