Rocking chair

I like rocking chairs; there's something calming about rocking for a while after a hectic day (preferably with a glass of wine within reach). So, I say, rock on! :)

And here are two quotes to ponder about rocking chairs:

Worrying is like a rocking chair, it gives you something to do, but it gets you nowhere.
~ Glenn Turner

Praying is like a rocking chair - it'll give you something to do, but it won't get you anywhere.
~ Gypsy Rose Lee

I've never really had any close experience with rocking chairs ~ but this is a lovely scene, and it sounds like a calming thing to do.

In my country Indonesia, rocking chairs also has another name in some regions, namely "kursi malas" (english: lazy chairs)

Beautiful rocking chair! And I also like those wood floors (and I bet I'd like the rugs too once they are unrolled). I don't have a rocking chair unfortunately (my place is too small), so I'll just have to have my glass of wine and imagine I'm rocking!

Thank you, Shell. You'll have to try "rocking" some time :)

Welcome Tikno! Thank you for sharing what the words "rocking chair" mean in Indonesian. It's an apt translation -- they are indeed "lazy chairs".

Thanks, Katie. I hope at some point you'll have enough room for a rocker AND a glass of wine :)
