A Sunday morning walk

Finally a break from all the holiday "busy-ness" 

Fresh snow in the Boise Range 

Ducks swimming amid the ripples 

The "duck spa" 

Another storm is on the way. It's cloudy and grey now. The wind has increased. The ducks will head for shelter. The water may freeze. More snow will gather on the mountains, perhaps we'll see snow here in the valley, snarling traffic during the morning commute.  

But I'll hold to the peace and beauty of a Sunday morning walk. 

Before the snow came

We've had a beautiful, colorful November. Now it's 23 degrees F outside, with a bit of snow.

Life brings changes - and I don't have as much time to blog as I did in the past. But I will still post photos from time to time, as well as visit "Blogville" friends.

Also -- tonight we happened to witness a flock of sparrows taking dust baths (another way they clean their feathers). I wasn't able to get photos or a video - but if you're curious to see them in action, click here for a short YouTube clip.
