A day for fish

With lots of rain -- and even some snow -- the day was one for fish, sea lions, eels, crawdads, dolphins, tadpoles, ducks, and other water-loving creatures.

But the rain is welcome; gives us lush fields and hillsides. Summer and her dry heat will come soon enough.

Don't threaten me with love, baby. Let's just go walking in the rain.

Kite weather

Restless, windy, rainy, sunny, snow in the hills.
March....

Sunset drama

Here's hoping the weekend plays out well.

There was never yet an uninteresting life. Such a thing is an impossibility. Inside of the dullest exterior there is a drama, a comedy, and a tragedy.

Just before spring

Buds are already appearing on tree branches and soon there will be a soft, pastel-like green to the trees as the first leaves open.

When spring melt comes, the river becomes high and swift, and will submerge the rocky beaches along the shore.

For now, it's all waiting, waiting for spring.

Left behind?

Wonder what the story is behind this?

Creativity often consists of merely turning up what is already there. Did you know that right and left shoes were thought up only a little more than a century ago?

Rock art

Seen during a walk in the neighborhood. The middle one reminds me of a small animal, begging for a treat.

Rock art is popular in the n'hood. There is also a miniature Stonehenge a few blocks away. (The photo is from last summer; no trees have leaves here yet. No weeds are up yet, either.)

As the song goes, "rock on..."

Tenuous touch

The clouds remind me of flowing fabric, maybe silk crepe.

They also reminds me of this:

Doorway

Not every doorway has a message --

or does it?

In motion

Clouds ever-changing in the afternoon blue as a jet soars into another time zone.

First flowers

Crocuses are popping up everywhere now, in shades of yellow, purple, lavender, and white. Welcoming spots of color in the browns and grays of winter.
